Junior 1
This group is for beginner swimmers with no competitve experience. TAC’s goal with this group is to prepare the swimmer for entry into our Junior 2 group. Focus in this group is on the fundamentals of swimming. All four strokes will be introduced as well as turns and dives.
This group meets for 45 minutes twice weekly in 6 week sessions.
Fee: $92 per 6 week session
Junior 2
This group is TAC’s introductory level to competitive swimming. Swimmers must have knowledge of all four competitive strokes. Focus in this group is on all the fundamentals and technique. The swimmers at this level will be introduced to simple training techniques and improved endurance, all while having fun. Swimmers will also begin to focus on the physiological systems along with technique training. These swimmers will compete on a local level. TAC swimmers in this group will participate in Regional Championships.
Practices are held 4 times per week for 1 hour each.

Age Group (13 and under)
Swimmers in this group have developed strong fundamental skills, have demonstrated a desire to reach their competitive potential, and are ready to develop a more extensive training base. IM and distance events are encouraged in an effort to develop versatility. These swimmers strive toward obtaining CT Age Group time standards. They represent TAC in local meets and participate in the Regional Championships. Travel meets may be introduced.
Practices are held 6 times per week for 1 ½ hours each.

Long Course Season Fee: $575
Seniors (14 and over)
This group is for swimmers who are making a more serious commitment to swimming at the club or High School level. While technique will continue to be stressed, it will be done within the structure of increased training. Additional meet opportunities may be provided to introduce swimmers to higher levels of competition. These swimmers will also represent TAC in Regional Championships, Age Group Championships and CT Senior Championships.
Practices are held 6 times per week for 1 ½ hours each.
Recommended attendance: 5-6 sessions
Approximately 30 minutes of dryland to be incorporated into the training schedule as determined by coaching staff.
Short Course Season Fee: $575
*Annual $57 USA Registration fee is required to be paid before participation in practices and meets.
Thames Aquatic Club offers year round training divided into 2 USA seasons.
Short Course Season: Training and competition in Short Course facilities. This season runs from September to March.
Long Course Season: Training and competition in both Short Course and Long Course facilities. This season runs from April to August.



Both seasons conclude with participation in Championship meets offered.
